Barrier Point

Barrier Point was the first luxury riverside development in the Royal Docks. The first phase was completed in 1999 and has proved very popular with both Canary Wharf and City workers due to it's close proximity to Pontoon Dock DLR station. The development consists of 8 blocks including a 15 storey riverside tower.

The first phase of the development (closest to the station) contains the leisure facilities including a residents only Gym and changing rooms. The building consists of 255 one, two and three bedroom apartments. Towers 1-7 are 6 stories high and the riverside tower is 16 stories. Fixtures and fittings within the apartments are of a very high standard and most apartments are larger than their equivalent in Capital East (one bed apartments are 543sqft or 720sqft, two bed apartments from 757sqft to 1178sqft and three bed apartments from 1250sqft).

The riverside tower is the most sought after part of Barrier Point. Floors 1 to 14 consist of 2x 1 bed apartments (1 facing the park and one facing Canary Wharf) and a 2 bed apartment directly facing the river. The ground floor was originally planned as a restaurant but was later converted to apartments with impressive double height ceilings. Fixtures and fittings within these apartments are of a higher standard than the rest of Barrier Point and apartments are generously proportioned (one bed apartments are 560sqft, two bed apartments are 1078sqft).
